What is Metatopia? I am not a 100% sure because this will be my first one!!! From my understanding, Metatopia is a great place for an indie game developer like myself to meet like-minded people, learn some tricks/tips, and network. I am psyched to be going and can't wait to listen to some industry professionals share their knowledge, have some cocktails with fellow developers and geek out.
Everyone I have spoken to has been incredibly nice, helpful and understanding of my noobie status. A special thanks to Avie -- we can't wait to meet you in person. I say "we" because my wife is going too. And it's her first gaming convention ever. May the odds be ever in her favor.
If you're going to Metatopia, give us a shout. We will be live tweeting and easy to find. Just look for the black guy in the Cthulhu shirt, wearing Batman converse, with a two-finger pour of Lagavulin in hand, and in a heated debate about who would win in a fight between The Doctor and Doc Brown (cough, cough...the Doctor)!
